With around 20 year’s star-hotel management, golf club management, pre-opening and operation of hotel group and also with his strong marketing experience, Toby accumulated professional hotel management experience. With effect from 3 August 2020, IHG has appointed Ms. Jessica Shao as General Manager of InterContinental Xishuangbanna Resort. Ms. Jessica Shao has 26 years of experience in hotel management, starting as a Guest Relations Officer in the Front Office. She has been involved in Sales, Property Management, Spa, Water Park, Engineering and Security, and has worked in operation and management positions at several hotels in different cities under the Holiday Inn, Crown Plaza and Intercontinental brands.
Ms. Jessica Shao is no stranger to Intercontinental Xishuangbanna Resort. She was appointed as the Resident Manager of this hotel since 2015, and she has unique insights into the unique ethnic culture and market of Xishuangbanna. As a high potential candidate for the GM Ready Program of IHG Hotels Group, she was promoted to General Manager of InterContinental Sancha Lake in 2017.
