The Kazakh and Chinese governments plan to introduce a vise free
regime for citizens of the two countries, reads the corresponding draft
order of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Kazinform
reports.

According to the document, Kazakhstani citizens will be
able to stay without visa in China and Chinese citizens in Kazakhstan
less than 30 days since crossing the border and no more than 90 days in a
180-day period.

Chinese embassies and consulates across multiple countries announced on March 13 and 14, 2023 that China will resume all types of visas for foreigners, starting from March 15. The visas include tourism and medical treatment visas, port visas, and multiple visa-exemption policies.Moreover, overseas Chinese visa authorities will reinstate the functionality of valid multi-year multi-entry visas that were issued before March 28, 2020. This means that foreigners with such long-term visas, like the 10-year business or tourist visa, can enter China without the need for an additional visa application, as long as it is still within the validity period.China's visa exemption policies include the 144-hour visa-free transit, which is available to eligible foreigners coming from selected countries. Under this policy, foreign travelers can stay for up to six days in certain Chinese cities without a visa, provided they meet the requirements, including entering and exiting China from eligible ports, staying within the allowed cities and regions, and satisfying other conditions. To obtain this visa exemption, the foreign national must have a valid passport from one of the 53 countries, which includes: 

• Europe Schengen area: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.

• Europe: Russia, United Kingdom, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania, Monaco, and Belarus.

• Americas: the United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, and Chile.

• Oceania: Australia and New Zealand.

• Asia: South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Brunei, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar.
