人的生存空间，如何返璞归真，可能就像高更对于自我的三个灵魂发问。 The living space of human beings, how to return to nature, may be like Gauguin asking about the three souls of himself.
所以我对于空间的理解是，如何去除所有雕饰，用原木，原石，夯土去表达空间；那么空间里满眼看到的是泥土的颜色和木头的结疤，这是我对于民宿空间这种“原始”的理解。 So my understanding of space is how to remove all the carvings and express the space with logs, stones and rammed earth; then what you can see in the space is the color of the earth and the scar of the wood, which is my understanding of the "primitive" of the accommodation space.
 
而茶与咖啡，是东西方饮食文化的差异，却又是几千年来你我未曾谋面时，共同、共鸣的对于“苦味”的原始追求。 Tea and coffee are the differences between the eastern and Western food cultures, but they are also the original pursuit of "bitter taste" when you and I haven't met for thousands of years.
  
合荷院的名字由来，则是因为对于两个3尺之隔的民宅做了融合与连接，从而有了“合”；天光，雨水，雪花，皆是苍天神赐，四时之景才是空间里最好的装饰画。 The name of heheyuan comes from the combination and connection of two 3-foot-apart houses, so as to have "Heyuan"; sky light, rain and snow are all gifts from heaven, and the best decorative painting in the space is the scenery of four hours.
 
合荷院的里的“荷“，则是来源于院中满池的荷花，中国人对于荷花的钦慕已自有渊源与历史，历代瓷器里经典的缠枝莲纹纹样，便可窥见一隅，所以我们叫这一池景为”满池娇”。 The "Lotus" in hehe courtyard comes from the lotus in the pond. The Chinese people's admiration for the lotus has its own origin and history. The classic pattern of tangled branches and lotus in porcelain of all ages can be seen in a corner, so we call this pond "manchi Jiao".
