Role Introduction Cathay Pacific Engineering Graduate Programme The Engineering Graduate Programme is designed to help your career take-off and provides a pathway for professional development and growth and the opportunity to help manage one of the most technologically advanced fleet of aircraft in the world. Depending upon the type of degree you hold and your area of interest, the Engineering Graduate Programme offers a variety of specialist streams to choose from: 1. Technical Graduate Engineer The 24-month Technical Graduate Engineer Programme develops you to become a Technical Engineer. Upon completion of the initial training programme and depending upon your interests and the need of the business at the time, you will then join either a Technical Services team that is responsible for managing the technical reliability of the fleet, or a Fleet Programmes team that is responsible for programme managing the introduction of new aircraft, equipment, and cabins. This programme is accredited by the Hong Kong Institute of Engineers (Scheme ‘A’) which is designed to be a faster track for graduates to obtain full HKIE professional status. During the programme, you will rotate between various other specialist teams to gain a wider understanding of the function and role of an airline Engineering department. You will also have the opportunity to gain hands-on practical training in HAECO. 2. Inventory Graduate Controller The 24-month Inventory Graduate Controller Programme develops you to become an Inventory Management, supply chain and logistics specialist. Upon completion of the initial training programme, you will then join one of our Inventory Management teams to continue your professional development. During the programme you will rotate between various other specialist teams to gain a wider understanding of the function and role of an airline Engineering department and you will also have the opportunity to gain experience in our Line Maintenance Centre of Excellence operations centre, airline Integrated Operations Centre, and with our Airline Procurement team. 3. Planning Graduate Engineer The 24-month Planning Graduate Engineer Programme develops you to become a specialist Maintenance Planning Engineer. Upon completion of the initial training programme, you will then join one of our operational maintenance planning teams to continue your professional development. During the programme you will rotate between various other specialist teams to gain a wider understanding of the function and role of an Engineering department and you will also have the opportunity to gain experience in our Line Maintenance Centre of Excellence operations centre, airline Integrated Operations Centre and our Airline schedule planning team. 4. Operational Graduate Engineer The 36-month Operational Graduate Engineer Programme develops you to become a Licensed Aircraft Engineer. Upon completion of the initial training programme and depending upon your interests and the need of the business at the time, you will then join one of our operational teams that is responsible for managing the Line Maintenance operation. Following assignment to a team, you will then continue with your professional development. The programme provides the necessary training and practical experience required to obtain a HKAR-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence that is issued by the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department. During the programme you will rotate between various other specialist teams to gain a wider understanding of the function and role of an airline Engineering department. Note1 - you may still apply for the Technical Graduate Engineer Programme if you are not eligible for accreditation by HKIE Scheme ‘A’. For more information, please visit the HKIE website. Note2 – you will have advantage if you have taken the HKAR-66 module examinations or received a HKAR-147 Certificate of Recognition for category B1.1 or B2.
